Secure Flood Insurance while the program is open!   

Congress passed HR 5569, extending funding for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) that is typically written and serviced by private insurance companies on behalf of FEMA.  The expiration of the funding for this program has stalled home closings for property located in designated flood prone zones since the end of May when the program expired.  The program’s extension is retroactive and temporarily available until September 30, 2010 when the program is set to expire again requiring another extension until something permanent is created.
